She can say...

Daddy
Mama

bye-bye
all gone
no more
hungry
spongebob
horse
bellybutton (not very clear though)
sit down
go outside
apple
grandma
lights
oh look
sorry
more
here you go
wow
baby
park
eyes
nose
ears
mouth
hair
Thats all I can think of right now she understands most things but doesen't speak it or repeat it . Let me know what you mamas think. Thank you

DS is going to be 2 in a month and the past week it seems like he just exploded with words. Talk to her pedi if you are unsure about it. I know the average 2 year old should speak about 20 words. Does she sign anything? Make noises? DS waves for hi and bye (two different waves), he says 30 or so words now and knows about a dozen sounds for animals as well as car (beep beep, vrooom ) and train (choo choo)

Seems fine
My son will be 2 this month and he's in speech therapy because he only has a vocabulary of about 8 words, 2 of which he just learned this past week

i know by 2 my DD was speaking in sentences, clearly...but i *think* that she might of been a little advanced in that area. she LOVES talking to this day (she's almost 6) lol
it sounds like she's speaking just fine, with the amount of words she's saying though.
if you're concerned ask her pediatrician about it.

When did you find out she was delayed in her speech ??
I know when I ask her pedi she will say the same old she will speak when she wants but i dont know??

If you're concerned you could always get her a speech evaluation and see what they say. My son is 2 and is in speech therapy and I was suprised when they told us he qualifed... he talks a lot, but apparently because he isn't 4-5 word sentences yet, he is speech delayed..

my dr said the same thing but i insisted on getting her checked because i was worried and there IS history of her father not talking until he was 5 years old so i knew something was off but since being in daycare and with speech its helping so much! i found out when she was 18 months roughly and its been an on going process all they ask you is a whole bunch of questions and they determine by how many words, and they see if they repeat etc.... if your concerned make your pedi get a referral ( if its different there ) here i had to refer her myself and its totally free

That's good for her age!

My son, at that age, was saying..maybe 5 words. He was delayed, though. Ended up in speech therapy and he's doing better at 3 1/2.
And there was someone that used to watch my kids while I worked and she had a little boy that was a month younger than my DD and he said 1 word at 2. So it varies, but your LO seems to be doing well!.
