I LOVE older names but would absolutely NEVER use Gertrude and Bertha. Can you talk about all of the horrible teasing that child will get? I mean I was in the hospital with a Trudy and she got teased because people called her Gertrude. It was not her name but still got teased because Trudy is a nickname of Gertrude.

Oh god, not Flea. I do like Matilda.. and Gertrude, though I'd never use it (I just like the nickname Gertie... lol).

Just please not flea. That kid will be so picked on  

Umm...no! I don't think names have to be super up to date and at the top of the baby name list, but you want to name your child something they can love. Don't forget it will be their name that they have to live with the rest of their life. Just because you like it, doesn't mean your kid will!
