No Heartbeat early on... normal?

posted 3rd Jan
I went to the dr today for the first time this pregnancy. He did an internal ultrasound in his office on a crappy ultrasound machine. He found the baby but he said he didn't see a heartbeat but it looked to be very early in the pregnancy so he's sending me to get a better ultrasound at the hospital in 2 weeks to verify.

Should I be worried or is this normal not to see a heartbeat this early on? Or even on a crap machine for that matter? My last 2 pregnancies he never did the internal ultrasound on me in his office he always did the external after I was passed 10 weeks.

(The date on my profile was just a guess because I wasn't sure when my last period was since it was a long time. My guess is most likely wrong, btw.)

I honestly don't know. He couldn't tell just said it was very early on. It's a really old machine.

There was no baby or heart beat until 9 weeks. They kept pushing for a D&C. Glad I didn't now i will have my daughter in my arms in 10 weeks

It wasn't in depth or anything he just saw that the baby was there and tried to measure but the machine couldn't read it, it was very small.

Don't sweat it. We didn't see a heartbeat for awhile. Just keep calm and drink milk lol

I had my first US at about 2 or 3 weeks, we didn't see or hear a heartbeat so if you are that early that is totally normal

I FEEL pregnant though. I'm dizzy here and there, kind of queezy. Would I still feel that way if the baby passed away? I figured since I feel queezy I should be fine, right?

Maybe but not necessarily. You could just be super early. You could be like 5 wks or something and not everyone can have the hb be seen or heard at that point...some can. Try not to freak. My first pregnancy I was so early they couldn't see a thing...no fetal pole or anything...then 2 weeks later there was my baby girl.
