Pregnancy medicaid help..

Alright.. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and 18 years old. I've had ARkids for my whole life and gets shut off when I turn 19 which I will have my baby 2 weeks after my birthday. Last time I visited my doctor my ARkids shut off because of my pregnancy and I went to my county DHS to get pregnancy medicaid but the lady kept trying to give me more ARkids papers and I told her several times I cannot have it and they already shut it off. But she didn't listen and scooted me out with more ARkids forms that MY PARENTS have to sign and I don't live with them anymore. She wanted me to get the insurance a month before my due date and I knew she was crazy then because It takes 45 days to get accepted and my baby could be born early. I don't know what to do.. Please help. I'm thinking about going to my hospital for help..

the pregnancy medicade SHOULD go back as far as 3 months I was almost 4 months when mine kicked in and it had covered ALL of my cost up to that point and up to amost 3 months after my son was born. Good luck try going online and filling out the paper work for medicade.

Are you sure ARkids doesn't cover pregnancy too? I know what covers my kids also is the pregnancy medicaid here.

At least in my state what covers pregnancy and what covers children are the same. When you are under 22 and pregnant you are covered technically under kids Medicaid.

Go to a different county office. I live in NLR and went to 2 different offices. However, if you don't have a doctor yet, you can go to the Health Department. They will give you the forms that you need to start Arkansas Pregnancy Medicaid.
