I asked the office I'm going to tomorrow about that and they said they would take care of it.

Pretty sure they request it. Anytime I go somewhere they just automatically send it to who you say is your provider here.

My office just gave them to me. I called and said I was moving and needed to get my records and they gave packet to take to my new dr. Some will fax them for you.

Do you have a MFM you could see? Since you are so high risk, I wouldn't even consider doing an OB unless that's all around.

We have one in town, but I'd have to be referred and referral has never even been mentioned.

I would demand it. I just can't imgaine why you wouldn't be. We get patients that have a clotting disorder, thyroid disease, one miscarriage, and MFM takes them right in.

I'm going to make some calls tomorrow and get some other opinions. My OB said he isn't worried, hence why I have 5 weeks between my last appointment and my next appointment.

OMG go to the hospital and get their service doctors to refer you.

I'd make sure of whether or not your insurance requires a referral to see Dr. Wheeler, Stef. When I called WHA to switch to Dr. Wheeler's care, they said I didn't need a referral since he was within their office, but I also know that my insurance doesn't require a referral either.

I know several woman who have been under his care and never needed a referral.

I am having this same issue with my military coverage and the army medical center they are trying to make me go to...long story...anyway if you are able to do so I would ask around do some research call a few places asking how they deal with complicated pregnancies explain that you dont like your current obs plan for your pregnancy ask if the dr. could give you a second opinion to see if they agree with your dr. given your history also tell them with your past experience and you would not only like closer monitering since things happened so fast previously and would rather go ahead and test and prepare for similar issues like you had last time rather than wait and watch as your current ob is....every dr. is diffrent and if told most understand your need and want for a better pregnancy than your previous if it was difficult

I just wanted to tell you what a difference today's appointment with the new OB was. She totally "gets" it and told me all the things I needed to hear that my (now old) OB wouldn't say. I hope you get the same!
