I wasn't a big car person, and got a Traverse when I had my second kid. LOVE it.

yes, seats 8   It's very roomy, and really good on gas for the size that it is.

I took it on a family trip with my parents/sister a few summers ago. We had all seats filled, 2 with carseats and everyone was comfortable and all luggage fit in the trunk. I'm in Japan now with a tiny little toyota and almost daily i mention that I miss the Traverse for some reason or another

haha nice. That sounds pretty ideal....we make a lot of road trips.
