Wife should be like?
What kind of qualities should she posess, just in general, what do you think makes a good wife?
quoteposted 3rd Jan
The answer to that depends on the man.

I would say faithful but people are freaky and sometimes that's not even a requirement anymore.

Cares for her husband, tries to make him happy, take care of him when he's sick, support him in his job, hobbies.

Whatever kind of person she is *shrug* I don't know, I don't feel there are traits that every 'good wife' should have.

My marriage is very "old school"
I cook, clean, take care of the kids, pay bills, do the shopping, etc
He makes the money, has a beer and dinner when he comes home and relaxes.
I love it, but its not for everyone.

Generally, the same qualities either spouse should have. Supportive and understanding of their partner, faithful to the vows they made, etc.

A woman. Hell, doesn't even have to be a woman anymore if that's what they're into.
SOmeone who genuinely loves and cares for their spouse and wants to support them and nurture their physical and emotional growth through life.
Or someone hot who can cook nekkid.

I wife should be their own person. I don't feel is right to define what a wife should be.

That's all I need.

Lol see, i'm only 21, i've been married since I was 19. I'm not a terrible person and I try to be a good wife. And I won't lie, sometimes I get caught in between being 21 and being a responsible adult. My husband told me last night that basically he wants me "Barefoot and pregnant" Of course not literally pregnant but I guess he is just insinuating that he is extremely old fashioned. He doesn't want me really going to with friends or anything. He doesn't like for me to drink.. Idk.
I cook, clean, pay bills, take care of our kids, love him.
I don't see what's so wrong with wanting a night to hang out with my friends.

Yeaa... I couldn't do that. I don't like people controlling me
quoteposted 3rd Jan
That depends on each couple. The boy and I are pretty 'old school'.

The smurf? Controlling husbands are smurf. You absolutely should have some time to spend with your friends, and if you enjoy drinking, go for it. I know spouses should be respectful of each other, and he may not like you hanging out with your friends, but tough luck. You need a life outside of him too.

My husband and I have pretty 'traditional' roles at the moment because I stay home and am in school and he works.
But I wouldn't deal with that controlling smurf at all.
