tmi enema, etc. during labour

lol, this is going to be a gross topic to discuss, but i wanna be prepared for the worst so that i'm not surprised while i'm at the hospital.
in the early stages of labour, do you have to get a enema, or the nurses will ask you if you want one or not? also, how many of you took a number 2 (lmao) while pushing? i'm just asking because i'm going to be soooo embarassed with my bf in the room. do people even realize what's going on (s/o, family) when you're pushing?

With my first I did but the nurses cleaned it up and went right on making sure the baby was coming out ok. I didn't even know till DH told me after we got home.
With my second I did an enema at home when I was in early labor and I didn't poop while giving birth.
Neither hospital asked or offered it.

I've never heard of doctors asking if you want an enema. I didn't poop when I pushed because my body was getting rid of it all before or during labor. It was all out by time to push.

The hospital won't offer it. You won't even notice, trust me. They clean it up so fast you won't even know it happened.

I did while pushing. Its really common though. I didnt even know I did until DH told me. I didnt get asked about an enema.

Hospitals don't give enemas during labor anymore. About. 60% of woman poop while pushing but mist of the time the nurses are good at hiding it.

I went before I went to the hospital, and then I got up and went to the restroom while waiting in labor once. I didn't poop on the delivery bed/table thing, but I can see how people would. I would just try to get it all out before going in if you are that worried. But like most people say, no one will even care.

I was never offered an enema while in labor and as for pooping during pushing I am not sure if I did. When my babies were coming out all I was focusing on was them. My husband and my mother never said whether or not I did. I think that there is so much going on at the time that no one really cares about anything but the baby coming out safely. I wouldn't worry about it, doctors see it all the time and you BF will only be focused on his 'playland' getting distorted with a watermelon sized human coming out of it. At least that is how my husband always puts it.

I didn't have the early labour loose bowel movements with my first and I did poo while pushing. I had no idea (until I asked my husband and he told me).
With my second, I had lots of loose bowel movements during early labour and I don't think I pooed at all during pushing, but I'm not positive.
I wasn't offered an enema and I haven't heard anyone around here say that they were.
If you are at the hospital early as I was (for testing), make sure to bring your own toilet paper. The TP at the hospital I was at was horrible and I had to wipe so often that I had a bit of a rash, it was very sore.

I actually didn't poop on the hospital bed nor the water birth pool, but that is because I pooped during contractions on the toilet lol. It felt nice sitting on the toilet so that is what I kept doing for contractions. If it does happen though it's not a big deal. At that point you will have several people looking at you vagina while you push, modesty kind of goes out the window.

Hospitals don't offer enemas during labor anymore, they haven't for some time. And most women poop during delivery, if it's going to happen you can't help it and you probably won't even notice. The nurses or doctor are usually really good at cleaning you up before its even noticeable. I didn't poop during delivery wih my first but I did with my second.
If your boyfriend is the type to be freaked out by or even mention you pooping during delivery, he's a child anyway.

I did not get offered an enema nor did I poop when delivering and I pushed hard. Like, almost 3 hours hard. I did however fart when being sewed up

well my mom and bf will be the only people in the room. they'll both be up close to my head though lol, so it's probably a lot less noticable. if i do, i hope they clean up quick. do they just change the sheets, or?
