Short Cervix Pelvic Rest???

So I had my 20 week ultrasound yesterday....Big surprise...My little girl turned out to be a little boy....then today I get a phone call from my obgyn saying that my cervix is short to go on complete pelvic rest and he wants ultrasounds every two weeks....My question is....Is having a short cervix serious can it harm my baby?

It's a risk for preterm labor. So it won't directly hurt te baby but being a preemie will.

It can lead to pre term labor. So follow doc orders and rest off your feet as much as you can!

^ What those ladies said and call your doctor immediately if you start feeling a lot of pressure in the pelvic region.

So they say my cervix is half the size it should be...I will be 21 weeks tomorrow...am I very likely to be able to make it full term....or is there anything that can be done to stop the shortening?

Did they not discuss cerclage?

Cerclage
Progesterone injections
Pelvic rest/bed rest

No. I had the Ultrasound yesterday and they didn't say anything was wrong. Then received a call from the doctor today saying he wants Ultrasounds every two weeks, complete pelvic rest and light bedrest...basically no long walks, heavy lifting, etc. I see him on Tuesday so I guess I'll find out more then...IDK
