So i quit smoking pot but i am pretty sure it won't last long cuz its the only thing that keeps me from throwing up everything i eat and it helps me sleep for at least 5hours a night. it also helps with all the cramping and back pains. i just want to know if the doctors will take my baby girl away cuz honestly id put up with everything if my lack of eating and sleeping wasn't harming her but so far i think that quitting is a lot worse then not

If you were honestly worried about what will happen to your daughter, you would find the will power to quit. We all have our vices. And believe it or not almost every other pregnant woman in the world can't eat or sleep and are constantly throwing up.

Depending on the hospital, your baby may be drug tested after birth. If she tests positive, CPS will probably get involved. Just be sure not to smoke the last month of your pregnancy.

That's not very good advice, what if her baby decides to come early?

I thought it was the last three months and i do care what happens to my baby that's why i smoke cuz it helps me stay healthy rather then feeling like crap

Depending on your state and hospital, you and baby may be drug tested after birth. I know in some cases they don't drug test baby unless mum is positive for something, but the situation varies greatly from one facility to the next and between states.

This is a pretty touchy subject on here. You'll find mums who agree with your standpoint on marijuana and mums who disagree. Do what is best for you and know the decision is ultimately up to you. Your best option is to arm yourself with knowledge. Educate yourself on your local laws and regulations.

Depends on hospital protocol. If they have drug tested your urine Anne you tested positive they might test the baby. If the baby is positive CPS will be called. You really should stop 3 months before baby is due

Smh. So getting your baby high is caring for it? Trust me, i'm all for pot, but while pregnant, no.
I am straight up addicted to Red Bull and I drink them everyday, I quit for both of my kids. I went through horrible headaches, mood swings, and just felt like plain crap. You do what you have to do to keep your baby safe, it's like, the first rule of being a mother.

They said something about putting me in counseling after the baby was born but really Idk what for i just do it so i can eat and sleep lol

I have heard the baby starts building up meconium at like 17 weeks or so & the THC will be in the meconium which is what they test at birth for drugs if they do test it. So if you are going to use marijuana, stop before 17 weeks & don't smoke it...eat it or vape it.

I personally wouldn't risk it but that is your choice kwim? Not that I think weed does anything to a developing baby but since it is illegal you don't want CPS getting involved in it.

Ok well, get your DR to prescribe you some zofran and something to help you sleep. Something safe for your baby. You just sound selfish IMO. I'm not trying to harp, I just don't understand.
