Rueben Sandwhiches...

posted 3rd Jan
I wanted to do it crockpot style? i cant really find any recipes. I have to run to the store anyway so I can get wahtever I need. But I was thinking I get some really thin sliced corn beef at the deli and then ad Au jus seasoning and water and just let warm up and cook?
should I add the saurkraut to the crockpot, or is that supposed to be cold and crunchy on the sandwhich? I just want saurkraut. I even thought about getting a pork tenderloin and throwing a bag of saurkraut on it like my friend does, and serves with potaties and stuff its really good actually..

any other hyummy saurkraut recipes?

I usually put the kraut on cold so there is a contrast in textures and temp

right now you can get a corned beef brisket with a seasoning packet at the store, cook that in the crockpot with the kraut and then make the sandwiches. Don't forget the dressing. We put swiss cheese on ours too

it's raw, similar to a roast...it needs long & slow cooking, on low for 9-11 hours...if not it'll be tough/chewy!
