lost for words... (sorry its so long)

So I haven't even given birth to this baby yet and SO is talking about how he wants another right away... It kind of took me off guard. Can I not worry about how we already can barely afford what we need for this ONE baby, let alone TWO?! Plus I was looking forward to time being NOT pregnant, you know feeling normal and capable again. I already spent the last two months of this pregnancy in excruciating pain to the point where I had to be put on bed rest for a month (because I'm totally in a hurry for that to happen again)I mean maybe in a year or two, I feel that's reasonable... plus we'd need a bigger place as we barely have enough space for the (soon to be) three of us as it is (baby's room is really tiny barely have room left for a dresser/change table) is it wrong for me to not want to jump into having another baby when I feel we've done a horrible job preparing for this one?? /endrant

Just tell him you're not ready. Most doctors say to wait at least a year to let your body heal anyway. I'm sure when he's taking care of a new born he'll forget that he wants another one so soon.

I would talk it over with him more. Keep on expressing your views. Let him know how you feel emotionally and back it up with logic like financial reason.
I have talked to Cory about this many times. He wants more kids but at this point I don't. Not because I don't love kids, but financially it is a bad idea for us. I finally got him to see my point of view. We agreed that I would go on birth control for a few years then re-evaluate it a few years down the road.

I wouldn't worry about it, when his child is born I doubt he will be jumping up and down for another so soon because not only will be be enjoying this child but newborns are work,

IMO i would wait, especially if this is your first. There are so many issues that could come up afterwards and (obviously lol) having a baby is a life changing experience. Thats too big of a decision to make right now.

I think you are being very smart about the situation. You know your body best. Maybe when he sees you go thru labor he will think differently.

I'm hoping the new baby makes him realize that we won't be ready for another one so soon. This man can't see reason sometimes I swear. It had me a little shocked to hear him say it yesterday. Hopefully when the baby finally comes he'll forget all about it... for at least a year and a half haha.

Lol I'd like to get this baby out and get to know her first. But I'm 22 (23 next month) and he's 27 so we have some time before we need to get on the "hurry up" train lol. I want to enjoy my baby not stress and worry about how I'm going to take care of another one. And the next one WILL be planned and saved for because while I'm super excited she's almost here we were in no way ready for this ( we've only been together since Nov 2011)
