Dentist and 3 year old.

My son just turned 3 last week.......why is it that I could not get a dentist to look at his teeth until he turned 3? I checked here in my town and the other towns around here and all said they'll schedule him when he's 3. I asked one of the ladies on the phone why and she said at 3 they can comprehend things better. ??????????

Were you looking at regular dentists or dentists specifically for toddlers? We have dentists out here that is specifically for young ones, start at one years old.

Have you brought your son to the dentist yet?

I just got back from the dentist, it was his first time and he did 100% GREAT!!! They said his teeth look so good and they could tell that he likes to floss and brush his teeth. He even took the new brush they gave him and showed him how much he likes to do it. He just turned 3 on December 27th........he did soooo well and I'm so proud!
