A couple questions about my 7.5 month old :)

posted 3rd Jan
Okay so my first question is...is it normal that he's not sleeping through the night yet? Between 8 and 9, he eats rice cereal and then a 4-6 oz bottle. He goes to sleep around 9:30 or 10..but he wakes up around 2 or 3 every night for another 6 oz bottle. Normal?

Also, what are your feeding schedules (if you would call it that) for your 7-8 month old? When my son first wakes up, I feed him a 2-4 oz bottle and cereal. Sometimes I mix a little banana baby food in with the cereal. When he gets hungry again a few hours later, I feed him some type of baby food (squash, sweet potatoes, etc) and a 2-4 oz bottle for lunch. At his next feeding he gets a 4-6 oz bottle. For dinner he gets some kind of baby food, and then a 2-4 oz bottle. (Sometimes there's two bottle feedings in between his lunch and dinner). His last feeding before bedtime is cereal and a 4-6 oz bottle. When he wakes up in the middle of the night, a 6 oz bottle. Does this sound like a pretty normal feeding schedule? It works for him, but I'm just wondering if this is what other people do?

My first kid, so I'm still learning. lol TIA

My 7 month old is an eating machine! She wasn't waking up in the middle of the night for at least 3 months now and now recently she wakes up almost every night around 4 for a bottle. She wakes up and has oatmeal (the baby kind) and 6 ounces of milk. Then at lunch she has baby food (usually 2 stage 2 jars) and about 4 ounces of milk. She usually has a bottle between ten and dinner. For dinner she has baby food (usually 2 again) and 4-6 ounces of milk. Then at bedtime she gets more oatmeal and 4-6 ounces of milk. Her pedi told me as long as she's tolerating eating that much to go ahead and let her have it.

See, he seems like he wants to eat more baby food..but I didn't know if I should give him more. And he stopped waking up in the middle of the night for a couple weeks..but then went back to it. At my last pedi appointment me, she told me to not feed him when he wakes up at night..but he goes insane if I don't.

That's the way DD is. If she doesn't get it then nobody's going back to bed lol we have even tried just giving her water instead of milk but she won't have that either. Pedis are all different tho. My oldest DDs former pedi told us she wasn't to have but like 3 bottles a day wen she was only like 4 months old. Our pedi now just says if that's wat baby wants then give it to her

DS is gonna be 8 months a week from today. He doesn't sleep through the night, not even close. Wakes up at least every three hours. I make him a four oz bottle but rarely drinks the whole thing. He has puréed fruits/veggies twice a day but we're starting three times a day once he turns 8 months. He has a 5 oz bottle every three to four hours.

my LO is almost 7 months old and thankfully he's been sleeping through the night since 3 months. Lately he hasn't been wanting anything to do with his bottle, just wanting baby food. In the morning he'll get a 6oz bottle. Around 1030ish he will get bananas or oatmeal. Around 12ish he will get another 6oz bottle. Around 3-4ish he gets baby food and then a 2-4oz bottle, usually he won't eat the whole thing. And before bedtime he gets 6oz of formula. But like I said, he's not too interested in the bottle anymore.

Our little guys are running neck-and-neck in age! My little guy just turned 8mos old! He goes to bed around 7:30-8pm gets up around 7-7:30am has cream of wheat or rice cereal and fruit (mixed in) about 2hrs later he'll have a 6oz bottle and go down for a nap. naps for 1.5hrs gets up, eats his lunch (a 3rd stage gerber meal. the tallest jar of food) 2hrs later 6oz bottle and a nap, same length nap then dinner (tall jar of food) then he'll get a tubbin' some sweet, sweet lovin' a 6oz bubbin' and go to bed! That's his schedule, it's pretty rock solid. LOVE SCHEDULES. My guy is so predictable, LOVE IT. LOVE. IT.
