Jonas- Biblical?

When you hear the name Jonas, do you think of it as a Biblical name?

There are certain names that seem strongly Biblical to me that I like (like Elias or Caleb), but I don't really want a name that immediately evokes strong Biblical associations in most peoples minds. Is Jonas one of these names for you?

Its gonna depend on the person probably. Just name your kid what u want and don't worry.

But I love the name Jonas tho. But on a girl, I find ir really girly. lol

my son is Elias Alexander
and if this is a boy his name will be Jonah, which idk if its a subname of Jonas or vice versa.. I dont mind Jonas, but the it does make me htink of the jonas brothers. which sucks i think its a cute name

Nope not at all, just the Jonas brothers. Jonah was the guy in the bible, I think that why Jonas doesn't make me think biblical.

I am a christian, and I don't think about the Bible when I hear Jonas. I, too, think of the Jonas Brothers.
