Devastated!

I feel like crying right now. Target changed their sizing since I had my DS fourteen months ago, it confused me so much. I went out and bought all her clothes for when she is born, I bought them in 000 (0-3 months) and set them all up ready in her nursery just to realise today (with nine weeks to go) that they are the wrong size! My son was 8pounds at birth and fitted in 0000 for nearly two months which is targets (New Baby) size. I now have no money to go buy clothes in that size and am unsure whether I will before she comes. I should have known by the weight that is written on the tags. 000 is 6-8 kilos and there is no way my DS will be 6 kilos. Dammit! Argh! :'(

If they were all bought at target just take them back and exchange them---you dont even need a recept

Better too big than too small!
And just because your son fit into a smaller size for a long time doesn't mean your second baby will too.
My first was in Newborn size for about 6 weeks, and my second only was able to wear them home from the hospital, then they were all too small.

I would try my hardest to return them. If I couldn't I would sell them for the most I could get to get more. I'm sorry

I don't want to take them back or exchange them because I will still need them. I guess I will just have to try and get some money to atleast buy a few outfits for the baby to wear as a newborn. I don't think she will be bigger then my DS, she is measuring smaller.

Do you have second hand stores there? They have super cheap and really decent clothes. Or like a thift store? Or any type of store people give their baby clothes to to be sold for cheap? If that's not your style I understand but you could still pick up a few things there.

We packed all 0000's when I went to hospital to have DS and he was born as an almost 000! If it happens that your baby is too small, just subtly hint to people who visit that the baby is swimming in its clothes and they'll all go out and buy more

Na, noone will come visit me, lol. I only plan on being in there overnight anyway, I won't be able to help myself and will somehow find a way to get them before she is born I'm just sad because all the 000 ones are so cute and perfect and they will be too big. Lol

Just take back a few of the outfits and exchange them for a smaller size

dont worry hun im still lost on sizes lol ds is 8 months and i dont know the difference between 00 and 0 :/
my ds only fitted in 0000 for 4 weeks and before i had him i also bought all 000 till i realised then i went out and brought loads of 0000 outfits too which he never wore for the first 4 weeks they need nappy changes so often id just buy about 4-8 cheap onesies from big w, target or kmart where they are cheap and bub will be into 000 before u know it, also my ds was in 000 for the longest so was kinda good i got all that size.

Ahaha. Mature, Mature Audience and Restricted. The sizes didn't confuse me before but they don't call 0000 that anymore which is what confused me. I have it figured out now.

If they are 0-3 months you should be fine I would think. I mean here we have NB sizes too but there really isn't that much difference.

i dont think this is that devastating. I just had a baby 3 weeks ago, and hes a preemie...aaalll his sleepers are too long for him, but i didnt bother to go get smaller clothes, becuz hes gonna outgrow them...babies grow like weeds...dont worry...and every child is different. For example, my daughter drank 4 oz of milk for the longest time, i think at least the first six months...but my son was already drinking 8 oz by the time he was 2 months! and he wanted more! i would have to give him a paci to make him think he was getting more...u never know ur daughter might be bigger than ur son...even if not, shell fit in them one day or the other...i clicked here thinking something really serious happend! lol
