BV???

Pretty sure I have BV ( a bacterial infection)
No symptoms just horrible odor :-( effin gross...
Has anybody else had it? What made it go away?
I seen a treatment at Walgreens with good ratings ..
Not sure if I need anti biotics, I don't really want to go to the doctors unless I absolutely have to.
Any advice?

Just had it 2 weeks ago, I had to get antibiotics from the Dr.

What was the name of them? And did your partner have to get treated as well? I don't know much about BV, just that it's caused
By bacteria & sperm.

Flagyl is usually prescribed for it.

When I had bv my doc put me on Metronidazole. It worked awesome! I had bv for an entire summer thinking just whatever, not worth the doctor bill. I wish I had gone to the doctor when the smell first started. I had itching as well.

I also wanted to know what would help other than a dr prescription for antibiotics.

No partner doesn't have to be treated, and I got the antibiotic metronidazole.


Yes sperm can cause it because sperm is acidic and can mess the PH balance in your vag.

I know this sounds weird but I researched home remedies for b v and it said take a bath with vinegar about a cup and eating 2 cups of yogurt helps and drinking cranberry juice and water..it also said the presriptions the Dr gives is good and bad at the same time..it kills the bad bacteria and the good ones
