Diaper crisis

Seriously. DS is SN hence the forum. With sensory processing disorder. He's been o.k. About going potty on the toilet, but also a lot of accidents. So instead of buying regular diapers I thought pull ups would be great. Well, now we are out of regular diapers and he is screaming about no pull up and wants a regular diaper. But the size 4's are WAY too tight. So should I haul them all to the store for a pack of 6's, dig out my cloth or just let him be until tomorrow? Part of me is like he's been fine today, power struggle screaming tantruming ALL day... So is this really a sensory thing or just another thing he has the power to freak out over? *about to pull me hair out*

P.s. his older brother and little brother are sleeping...

I would just use cloth.

My daughter did that when we where changing completely over to pull ups. I didn't give in but she didn't have a sensory processing disorder. She would get so upset but eventually she learned I wasn't caving and got used to it. Potty training and change can be difficult for a child and every child is different. Just follow your instincts moma  

LOL yeh I was like..her husband is in diapers and is throwing a tantrum? O.O

I would try taping the regular diapers closed on the sides and telling him they are a different kind of pull ups and slide em up, see if that works.

yes, I meant DS   My mind is not totally functioning at the moment 

And I can't find my cloth   We rearranged our stuff this weekend and it's not in my closet. I think DH put it in the rafters in the garage  

Can just one of you run to the store? Would DS be willing to have the too small diaper on and the pull-up over top?

It's 15 minutes to 9 and DH won't be home until 2 am because of the holiday yesterday. FML. I got him to lie down with some trainer underpants on. I'm going to try to slip a pull up on over the top once he's been asleep and see if he sleeps through it. If not, I'm going to make the drive to a store that's open 24 hours. He pees and poops in the middle of the night. So not having him in some kind of actual diaper/pull up isn't going to work. I'm kicking myself in the ass. in 5 years of having kids in diapers I have never once let myself run out. I figured we would be okay with the pull ups though.
