wwyd- mili movers broke household goods

So, we moved this summer....long story short they are STILL processing our claim, it's over 5k, so it's taking a while, they say. anyways.

They are fighting with us on one thing...They broke the stand to our TV, you know the only way you can get it to stand on your entertainment center. Well, we nor they can find just the stand. SO, they want to do nothing about it. We told them they would have to replace our flat screen, seeing as we CANNOT use it, safely (we have a 4 year old) at that. Our TV was $899.

What would you do? we are considering getting a lawyer, should we threaten them with that? I mean it's been going on 5 months that we are waiting for our money from them.

*mounting the TV on the wall is NOT an option.

I would tell them you are getting a lawyer Nd if they don't speed up actually get the lawyer.

Yep threaten to get a lawyer n scope one out. 5 months is way too long to go w.o settling this.

They LOST PRACTICALLY ALL OF OUR STUFF. right down to dishes. that's where the rest comes from.

Yeah, that's what we plan on doing. Right now, we are sitting on broken couches, and are mattresses are on the floor because they lost our bed, amongst many other things.

OP, I understand you're frustrated about the situation.

Are you still military? If so, go to ACS and they'll be able to lend furniture and dishes (at least I THINK it's ACS...)

So common sense is KNOWING that stuff was lost in the move? Okay I totally get your logic...smh

There were other things broken, which they aren't balking on, but they are balking on replacing her tv stand or tv. So the other 4k is related to other items they broke or lost
