May be they are fighting you because the TV can still be viewed. Replacement stands are sold for most types of tvs.

Good luck. It's almost impossible to get your money from a moving company, they are really protected in their paperwork. I also think that asking for a new is dumb, just ask for the cost of the broken stand.

Okay buy doesn't lead me to believe that they LOST your smurf. I am military and know how things so with moving companies. Thankfully DH and I sold out most importnant items like TVs and stand. I was just offended that you would call someone dumb for not getting what you didn't say. A lot of people aren't military and it is NOT common sense to believe they lost your smurf.

Most likely they will not pay for the whole cost of the tv just a replacement stand, because logically even though you say monting it on the wall is not an option for you guys right now it still is something that can be done also the tv still works I'm assuming. Call the brand/manufacturing company will help with finding a stand.

I know you said you can't mount it on the wall...but what about a tv stand with a mount build in? When we pcs last somehow the 2 little screws for my stand were misplaced and I was unable to attach the stand back to it. We live in Japan where the walls are concrete and I can't put a mount into the wall (house out in town). We compromised and just got a stand with the mount built in.

Because we have a really nice entertainment center and matching tables. We told them if they can find a stand that will fit, thats fine. it worked before we moved, so they must find a way for it to safely stand like it was before. I'm not settling because of their screw up.

Most tv vendors have replacement part order forms on their webpage. have you checked there for a new stand. I checked for our tv for the screws, but they only sold it as a full stand, and it was around 30-35$ i think. It's a little silly to demand for a whole tv when there are so many other options out there. I can understand why they don't want to shell out the money for it. The TV still functions, you would be getting a free tv if they just outright replaced it for a 40$ stand.
