Child Visitation "Help Please"

So my ex is taking me to court again... He has out 16 month old every Wed -Fri at 4pm. Now his days off are Fri and Sat so he wants him Thurs night after work till Sat at 4pm. I work Mon-Fri and i feel we should alternate the Saturdays because I plan to do things with my kids as well on weekends since i work all week, Anyways he is fighting me on this. What do you think and would you Mommas do????

Its normal for weekends to be split so just let him take you to court and hope you can settle it in mediation.

Bring it up in mediation and you should get split weekends as that is the norm.

I just excepted a job on New Years Eve. Congrats to me. And i work Mon-Fri. And since he has Fri and Sat off hes still fighting for Every Sat.

Well just because he's fighting for it doesn't mean he'll get it. But still, you get her 5 days a week and if you don't want him to have Saturdays that means he will only see her 1 day a week. It's not very fair to him OR her.

No he wants to pick him up on Thurs at 6pm and have him till every Sat at 4. He works Sun. Im just trying to make it were we alternate the sat so that i may have a weekend with them to do things with my two boys that all!!!

Yeah I understand what he wants but if you don't want him to have Saturdays that means he will only get 1 day instead of 2.
Why don't you offer a few hours likee Tuesday afternoon/ nights or something and then alternate Saturdays?

I have tried to work with him. But he wont budge he lives almost 2 hours away. And hes setting with thurs nights till every sat at 4pm.

why is i fair to her that her only day of as well and she doesnt get to spend it with her child.it is very common to split weekends me and my ex dont have a custody aggreement or anything but usually he gets them every other weekend or if i wanna do something with them one weekend he will come get them the next weekend vice versa

Because lets say she works 8 hour days, 5 days a week. Let's say she sleeps the average 8 hours at night. That means that she still spends 8 hours every day with her daughter even on days she's working. How is it fair for her to get 8 hours with her plus both days off and the dad to only get 1 day TOTAL??
