i do agree with you that the cost of items rises from theft. but... the milk prices going up has something to do with farmers losing their funding or something.

It has stayed at 2.49 a gallon here. it went to 2.69 for a week or so but I cant see myself paying out of ass for some milk.

Yeah I use to be the girl who wouldnt pay over 2 dollars for a gallon of milk. Now I cant see me paying more than 2.75 IF I have too.

We arent big milk drinkers tho.

uh... what? inflation is a totally other issue. they are right--prices do rise in some stores as a result of stolen merchandise. granted, it doesn't happen automatically, it takes awhile of it happening, but... they have to make up their loss somehow and that is one way.

Inflation is ONE of the reasons. THEFT is ANOTHER.

You mean to tell me, if someone came in the store once a week a stole lets say a box of tampons. The store would be at a loss for those tampons eventually and the price of them WILL go up.
