re: Blacking Out?

Thank you, that puts my mind at ease somewhat.
It really wasn't that long of a shopping trip, but I hadn't been on one in a while.
The blacking out is usually a sign of low and not high BP right? Which would make Pre-E unlikely which is what I am hoping for.

My mom is a nurse and has one. I'm trying to get her to look for it.
Considering my history I should probably start checking it once a day like I used to when I was pregnant with DD.

I would call my ob. This happened to me when I wasn't pregnant and my primary care doc made me go to the Er. My sisters ob made her go to Er when it happened to her at 20 weeks.

Yes that was low bp. I did Hve to go to the er when it happened to me to be safe. But that's all mine was.

When you went to the ER did you find out what the cause was?
Was your BP t oo high? or to low?
I feel ok now so my fiance is acting like I'm being a baby.
Going to try and find y mom's BP cuff and will call OB first thing in the morning as long as I don't feel badly again before then. Don't think it should wait until my next appointment on Monday for sure.

At the Er they did an ekg and released me to my doctor but he couldn't do anything unless I did that or so he said. He reffered me to a cardiologist. The cardiologist said I just had low blood pressure and to eat more salt or he would put me on medication. My sister did testing and discovered all sorts of stuff was wrong with her heart and her unborn babies heart. But I think her experience is probably rare.

Thank you.
OB says it's called Syncope
and since I had it as a teenager when not pregnant, I'm probably alright. but to stay off my feet until he see's me and go to L&D right away if it happens again before then.
Is your sister and her baby ok now?

Yes! They are both healthy and happy. My sister has to limit her caffeine intake and that's it. No problems since pregnancy. And her sons heart is still being monitored.

Something I just read in a thread this girl in my PT posted has me practically pissing myself.
Apparently, it's not good for baby's heartbeat to always be the same rate?
My daughter's heartbeat has been 150 BPM every time it's been checked from the first time I had it looked at at 6 weeks 5 days, until the last time I saw it at 17 weeks 6 days.

The baseline should be pretty consistent. But they're supposed to have accelerations.

I heard the heart rate changes based on what they are doing. I know DD was almost always asleep when I went to my ob. She liked the car ride there I guess. Her heartbeat was always about 155 and she's fine. My oldest nephew was always around 140 and the younger with the heart problem inutero was 145-160 but never the same.
