Did your family know?

Did you tell them you were trying? Or did you wait until you actually got pregnant?

I thought SO and I were going to keep it a secret until we got pregnant. But, he's already told most of his family     his step-mom even gave him advice to keep his socks on while having sex... because it works    

I told my mom in confidentiality (I'm not close with my family)... and of course she ran her mouth to my aunt. So that information will travel quickly...

I just feel weird knowing that they know. I don't know how to explain it  

Only a few people know we are ttc. Our parents, siblings don't know. I want to be a true surprise when we announce.

Right? I wanted it to be a surprise, too! But now I feel like when it does happen, and we announce it... it'll just be like, "Oh, finally?"  

We didn't tell anyone. I only told my Mom before we reached the end of the 1st trimester

My mom knew we were trying for DD but no one else did. And no one knew we were trying for LO.

We don't tell any of our family. We kinda sidestep questions about if we're ready for another one and such. My mom has a really big mouth and everyone would know if she did. One of my friends knows, but she's one who I talk fertility stuff with.

No one knew. & no one still knows. Everyone thought our LO just happened but we planned her & took about 3 months TTC her. We didn't really care what they thought.

I know what you mean with the discomfort in people knowing you are TTC. We didn't tell anyone until I was about 6 weeks along. I honestly am like that a little, like if I hear of people TTC I ponder out of boredom what they are doing. Like how many times they have sex, if the lady part of the relationship yells like in the movies "I'm ready, hurry hurry!" silly stuff like that lol. I am paranoid and always thought people would think the same thing about me if I told them I was TTC when I was. LOL, I'm weird.  

Whenever anybody asked when we would be trying again, we just said "whenever it happens, it happens..." They got sick of the speculating and then when we actually did start not worrying about whether it happened or not, it did. My sister says I'm pregnant every time I sneeze, pretty much, so it's difficult to keep a secret in my family

My whole family knew. Sometimes a gal just needs a few cheerleaders!

Ya we told my mom, mother-in-law and a few other close friends and family. We had been together and neither my parents or DH's mother had any grandchildren yet, so we constantly got the "when are we getting grandchildren" question. When we finally decided we were ready to have a baby, we just let it be known that I was going off BC and if something happened than it happened. It happened in 3 months

Lol, glad to know I am not completely weird and that other peoples mind wander like mine do. haha!  

I'm pretty sure everyone is expecting us to TTC when Seth is back.   But we won't tell anyone until we're actually pregnant and once I'm in the 2nd trimester!
