So at the clinic

posted 2nd Jan
So I went to the clinic earlier tonigght. Kids are fine just some colds.
Anyways while there waiting, this girl I know from a few years ago was there with her 14 month old dd.

So we get to talking and that, and she asks me some stuff about what my almost 11 month is doing, so I say no walking yet, but she just started pulling up but she waves blows kisses and plays patty cake, eats with a spoon kind off. lol

Here dd was walking of couse she is 14 months. Well my lo started playing patty cake and an older lady is like oh she is so smart for her age etc.....

Well this girl then says, my dd is walking already, and then she starts asking her 14 month old stuff, wheres your hair? what does a cow say? and some other things, and her dd wouldnt do any of it. But you could clearly tell she was getting mad.

It was like she was jealous or something IDK? does that seem like what her issue was?
After a while she got up and moved somewhere else, when she couldnt get her kid to preform on demmand...I was like wtf?

Does this stuff really bother ppl, like trying to get her 14 month old to show up an almost 11 month old?

Seems a tad smurfed up if you ask me. lol

No lie, I get bothered when my 18 month olds can't do things that 10 month olds can. Haha. But I won't act like that, I'll just try to bow out of the conversation gracefully.

No, I never ask my kids to do anything in public, because they won't. lol. They'll do it at home, but not around new people. Sounds like the woman was just jealous.

Same here. I mean when friends and family visit sure, its like oh Chloe is now doing this etc......but in public to strangers seems kind of weird.lol

I am sure her dd does plenty that mine does not do at all, my lo only army crawls still at 11 months well in 2 days.

My Lo started to pull him self up and walk really early but i had no idea that it was early because he was my first. So I never even thought to "try and show people up"

Same with my pregnancy. I joined this when I was pregnant and due to a number of things I started to show very early(I did not know that people "want to show and get jealous of this)

So when I was trying to learn if the things I was dealing with were normal or not other Moms on here were being so mean to me and calling me fat and saying that it was impossible for me to be showing so early. I almost quit baby gaga

BUT with all this I learned that people are very competitive about pregnancy and parenting. This is something I have never experienced with my small group of friends, so I was shocked. Just like you were today.

So yeah people are crazy and competitive over things that don't matter!

I definitely think it's weird to try to brag about what your kids can/can't do.
