The funk...

I just had my lil girl 13 days ago. I have everything I have ever wanted. I have an amazing fiance who is the best daddy ever and treats me like a queen. I have the most beautiful daughter in the world and she is a very good baby. I just cant seem to shake this funk feeling I have. I just feel depressed all the time. Like all I want to do is cry. Please tell me that this goes away... I just want my old self back again. I cant process in my head why I would feel this way when I am obviously so blessed...

I know exactly how you feel. My daughter is 6 weeks and I still feel that way. I have been in denial but I am finally going to get help. I recommend you do the same bc it does not go away on it's own.

My appt isn't til the 14th of January.... Guess I'll just have to deal with it until then. Probably is the baby blues... Just doesn't make sense for me to have so much and feel like I am alone. Doesn't help that my fiance works 3rd shift, so he is asleep all day and at work all night. When he is here and up though he is just so wonderful to me. I don't want to tell him that I feel this way cause I don't want him to think I'm selfish. I'm honestly not trying to be...

sweetie, talk to your doctor about post partum depression. It's completely normal, and treatable. There are safe meds to take to help balance you out while your hormones re-regulate themselves.

No different than a diabetic person unable to regulate blood sugars..your hormones are crazy now....and medication can help

After i had my first i had ppd. Talk to ur fiance ur not being selfish. The more support u have the better and definitely talk to ur doc, ppd is nothing to put off. Take care hun!

I talked to my fiance and he says that he completely understands and that he is here anytime I need him. I am going to talk to my doctor and see what she says. Thanks so much yall!
