I usually use pancake batter, like, from the box.
I only ever add water to it. Not eggs, not milk. Just water. And they're yummy.
I wanted to try to make oven-baked pancakes, like in a cake pan, and then cut them. To save time and because then I figure I won't make a huge ass mess.
My question, will they not like, fluff up in the oven since there will only be water? And melted butter, actually. I plan on adding that to keep them from sticking to the pan.
TIA.
Also if anyone has a good recipe for these, let me know!
Super easy breakfast recipe - HootenannyPreheat oven to 425 degrees.
Melt 1/2 stick of butter in 9 x13 glass pan while doing the next part:
Mix together: 6 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1/4 tsp. salt
Once that's frothy, add in 1 cup flour, mix until blended
Pour batter in pan with melted butter. Don't mix - you're done.
Cook for 20 - 30 minutes. It will puff up and look dramatic.
When done, cut in pieces, serve with syrup or jelly.

those are the ones I found when I looked it up! Like, giant?
I didn't do that because we have..... 0 eggs
BUT for those who are curious, it worked fine on a greased baking sheet, just using the pancake batter on a greased cookie sheet! I did 375 degrees, should've done like 425, maybe. Or 400. And kept checking. they were a bit pale on top but the kids and I liked them!
I made these today, with the mix from the box with just water added. And my kids didn't like them . Maybe if you used a homemade pancake recipe they would be better. Hope that helps!
