Yep, I know. My middle name is Rene'...my dad INSISTS that they forgot the last "e" but I'm not entirely convinced. I have a masculine first name, a masculine middle name, and my dad called me "Sport" my entire life...I think he really wanted me to be a boy.

To me, Renee isn't masculine at all

Renee' with all 3 E's is not masculine. However, Rene with only the two is masculine. And it came first. It means "Reborn"

Yeah. For years I was told that I was named after my grandmother Elderene, but instead of pronouncing it "Reen" like hers is, they pronounced it Renee. Then my dad said it was supposed to have 3 Es...I don't know.
