Sad day
posted 2nd Jan
I got a call today from SO around 2. He said he was on his way home. His uncle was at SO's dad's house and he thought he was dead. So I headed to get the kids. Before I got the kids SO called and said that yes, his dad was really dead.
It's been really hard on everyone. He was pretty sick, but his death was unexpected. He was doing pretty good yesterday.
I don't even know how to comfort SO.

Most men are difficult to comfort. I'd say just to offer your help. Don't be too clingy. If he needs space, keep the kids away for a little bit. Try to do anything to relieve any stress.

Oh sending prayers. Everyone deals with death differently. Just be there for him the best you can.. So sorry to hear

Thanks. I haven't been able to talk to him much tonight; there has been so many people here.
I've kept the kids with me though. They're so antsy. I think they feel the stress going on.
