Anxiety symptoms

posted 2nd Jan
I notice when I have bad panic attacks I will have to shake my hands. I didn't get anxiety until after I had my first son. So about two years ago. Well recently I found out my step daughter has anxiety. (Her counselor told me, my DH and her mother.) She just turned 5. Right after we found out she had anxiety, her mom pulled her out of counseling. She wasn't even in it for long. Does anyone else have shaky hands from anxiety? What can I do to help make it better for my daughter? I feel so bad for her. I can't imagine being that young and have that feeling.

I feel like shaking my whole body. I had to leave class one time bc of my hands shaking. It's the worst feeling ever.

I don't get shakey but I start to feel really antsy, and like I need to move around a lot.

I would try coping skills with her, and maybe there are some kids groups for kids with anxiety around you, that way she can just hang out with other kids who have the same problem.

I have a huge packet of coping skills, so if you want any ideas, feel free to ask.

My hands shake, my neck gets real still my shoulders and head shake, if im crying its like I can't catch my breath, I.usually dig my nails into my skin to try and get like pain out, its usually my legs or face,

Does she have shakey hands all the time or just when shes anxious, when I was younger they gave me benedryl to calm me down, now when I'm preg or breastfeeding thats all I can take, otherwise I had xanax or ativan, now I'm using med marijuana, which I dont like but I'm sick of pills I been taking pills for this seems like forever

I'm prescribed Xanax and I hate it. She only gets the shaky hands when she has anxiety. She also will cry and breath all crazy. I just feel so bad bc I know she isn't getting any help at home. It's sad.

Does she start to hyperventilate? You could try deep breathing with her

Yes. I did the deep breathing today. It seemed to help a lot. It all happened because she couldn't open the door. I just think her anxiety is gonna get out of control.

Hopefully since she's still young, with the right tools, she'll be able to manage her anxiety later on.

I'm just praying her mom puts her back in counseling.
