re: The name Duke.

Duke is a dog's name.. Do not let him name your son Duke

i wouldn't name a kid duke.

Everyone said that about my sons name (it's a dogs name). But most dog names end up being "human names" anyways. Why name a girl Molly? Many female dogs are named Molly.
Ask him if you can compromise and make Duke a middle name

I didn't like any boys names either. I always had girls names picked out, I ended up having a girl. Thankfully lol

while this is true that people names do often get turned into "dog" names... i have never met a person in real life with the actual legal name of duke. just saying.

I instantly think dog name when I hear Duke. Jameson is adorable though.

Hell I'm a Jessie. There are craptons of dogs named Jessie

I love Molly and don't associate it with dogs at all. But I don't know any dogs with people names except for one, Diego. I do like the name Duke but I don't want people thinking "that's a dogs name!" when they hear it. Which they will. I might try to think of a few names with Duke as a middle like you said and see what he says.

Not a fan of Drake and I don't know why. I really love Eric and Luke and I've been trying to push those names with Jameson as a middle.

or... he could just call him duke as a little nickname if he really wants to, lol. my daughter's name is certainly not "bunny", but that is what i call her 95% of the time at home, lol.
