would you request an ultrasound or some kind of testing if everytime your baby moved it would cause pain? I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant and everytime Liam moves at all it causes this sharp pain that reaches into my back. Last night it was so bad I was crying and my SO tried rubbing my back but it just wasn't working. I took tylenol and tried a heating pad but it was so painful.

Sounds like sciatic nerve pain.

how long has it been going on? maybe he is sitting on a nerve.

i might mention it at my next appt, but i doubt i'd go in/ask for an u/s. if they suggested one because of it, i'd do it, but i probably wouldn't request it, necessarily. that's just me, though.

I'm also 31 weeks and I get painful movements too, but not all the movements are painful. Usually the lower ones hurt, feels like she's hitting a nerve and they make me jump!

The same thing was/is happening to me and the dr told me it was because the baby is sitting on sciatic nerve. Trying getting on all fours or walking for a while, it always helps me.
