Weight Watchers

What do out ladies think? If you've tried it, did it work? I'm starting a new job next week, but I really want to start getting healthier now and don't have much money, so I wanted to try and find the system somewhere for free. Does anyone know how the points system works, or where I can find something on how to do it?

I did it in 2006 and lost 30 lbs in 3 months.
I do not know too much about their new program.
You really won't do very well without the meetings. It's only like $12 a week.

Here is a point list http://quiddity.cc/rachel/diet/wwfoods.htm. My grandmother has been doing it and she sent me that so I could try it. I don't understand it completely yet, like how many points per day you get and stuff like that, but it seems to be working great for her. She also goes to the gym a few times a week too though.

I did it and am doing it again... before I lost over 80 lbs on it and now I have put some weight back on due to my thyroid so I am trying to lose that and some more to get to my goal weight... as long as you have good self control it is actually a lifestyle change and not a diet because it trains you how to eat on a daily basis and be aware of what you eat...

When I started trying to lose weight after having my first, I just started out doing pilates and cutting back on my food. That worked for about 2 months and I had lost between 10 and 15 pounds. After that stopped working, I switched to weight watchers. I was on weight watchers for probably 4 months and lost 40 pounds. When I hit a plateau and completely stopped losing weight, I quit weight watchers. I kept all of the weight off until I got pregnant with my second child.

I did it without meeting and just did it all on my own and lost a bunch but my mom is also a leader at the meetings so maybe that is how I did it without going...
