Looking for fun things to do indoors with our 5 1/2 year old.
He's obviously more difficult to keep entertained than our 1 1/2 year old. And is fine playing by himself but I'd like to do something fun and special with him.
We're going out for a family day tomorrow, but today we'll be staying in (it's cold and he's a little bit sick) and I can't think of what to do!
There is nothing my 4 1/2 year old loves to do more than help me bake/cook or decorate cookies! It occupies lot of his time, too, and then he just wants to chill out.
<blockquote><b>Quoting the grace life:</b>" Ideas... (cloud dough, super easy.) Tray of baking soda, droppers with various colors of vinegar. We've done all of this before, all a lot of fun."</blockquote>
that last one is the coolest thing ever! I can't think of what we have at home to do it with, though
We love to play board games together, and card games! We make binoculars out of toilet paper rolls and decorate them, we bake and cook together a lot, puzzles, have little dance parties, nails, hair, all that fun stuff!

[snip!] ... rolls and decorate them, we bake and cook together a lot, puzzles, have little dance parties, nails, hair, all that fun stuff!"</blockquote>
ooohh the binoculars sound fun!
He's too cool to dance with me or like...sit still. BUT he did get a new game for Christmas, I should try that with him tomorrow
