Seriously. On Mondays when I work, I come home and do nothing. I'd be a failure as a human if I tried to work outside of my home.

My 4 year old likes to help me with the dishes.

I wish she would be more interested in cleaning her room.

She is going through this: "I don't know how to do it by myself phase."

It's driving me nuts!

Well, that IS scary.

But that is the chance you take when having a 15 yo care for your kids.

I am fortunate enough to have a private facility with all workers having experience in rasing children (not "babysitting") they are all CPR certified as well as First Aid certified. More than 3 of them have their ECE's as well.

I was able to check the state website to view their inspections and any resports made about the facility.

That is the difference between having a teenager watch your child and a professional.

I usually tell her that if it's easy to make the mess, it's easy to clean it.

That is what I say. Plus, if she doesn't earn her checkmarks on her chart, she can't play her leap pad or watch a cartoon....pretty much solves that problem.

If I were to go back to work, and do the daycare thing it would cost me more money in daycare and gas then I would actually make.

I am genuinely sorry about my original comment though. I promise I did not mean for it to come out the way it did. For some reason today I can't put words the right way.
