Most doctors dont check unless there is reason to. Some do group b at 36 weeks but others wait until your in labor. Dilation really doesnt mean much anyways. Ive been dilated since 6 months Im now almost 38 weeks 5cm & still no baby...

I think if I knew how dilated I was I'd be more anxious. I'm really glad I don't know and I have at most 3 weeks left of pregnancy before my OB will induce me. 2 weeks if I deliver on my due date. But I'm hoping she comes this weekend

It's nice to read that most of you have had the experience of doctors not checking till you are in labor! I felt I was missing out on something not being check yet, and last time I asked about it and she told me they will check when I'm in the hospital in labor. I haven't had any issues or concerns yet (i'm 39 weeks tomorrow) and I was getting jealous of women that got estimates from their doc about baby size, cervix dilation, due date. etc. All I know is how much weight I've gained so far, and my LMP due date. Who knows when my baby will decide to come!
