Not necessarily. It could be mucous making its way out especially since her LO has been coughing. My son is actually going through that right now.

Shrug..pedi told me that clear, white, and light yellow was ok but green warranted a visit.

Green isnt always infection but can be. My sons had the congestion, cough and fever for 4 days. Its finally starting to calm down today though.
The way I see it, the doctors are likely to prescribe rest, fluids, and tylenol which I can do without a trip to the clinic.
However, if youre worried, go. Itll give you peace of mind if nothing else.
Hope your LO feels better soon

I think that's what I am going to go ahead and do just to be sure it isn't an infection or anything.

Okay? And I was stating that green doesn't always mean that there is an infection.

Sounds like a plan. The green = infection (when coming out of the nose) conclusion has been refuted. Years ago actually. Its old, outdated and incorrect information. Green mucous will often pour out of the nose at the end of a cold which is a good thing. I wouldn't worry about an infection unless the mucous is accompanied by other symptoms.

My son has the same thing but add in that the mucus is comin out of his eyes .
His dr didn't do anything for him cause there isn't anything they can do. It's not an infection even tho the snot is green. He said it could indicate infection but its not always. And that he has a LOT of mucus so it coming out of the eyes is just because its like in overload mode.
DS is much better today, I put an onion in his room last night and I think it helped cause now he's less snotty and its clear. I'd just keep an eye on your LO and if it doesn't let up in a day or two take her.

But I hear its going around pretty bad, my whole house got it :/.
