Lunch Ideas

posted 2nd Jan
My LO is almost 7 months and she has decided to boycott baby food. Which quite frankly I don't blame her one bit. I need ideas on some food I can make her for lunch. I don't really eat lunch so I can't just give her what I am eating. I want her to have healthy lunches. This is also for as she gets older so I have ideas then too. She has no teeth either yet. She likes things she can pick up and eat herself.

It's easiest to start with veggies. Peas are great starters. Cooked carrots, cubed up. Make sure they're soft enough for her to chew.

She eats food fine if they are soft enough. I need ideas other than just fruits and veggies. She had spaghetti for dinner last night.

I give DD things like chicken and veggie soup. I do a lot of soups for lunch, because they're already prepared and usually easy to eat. Try to get the low sodium ones though. Babies don't really need to eat like we do. A little fruit and little veggies and some dinner and they should be fine.

Almost all canned veggies minus corn and greens. Mac and cheese Cooked 2-3 minutes longer than directions state. Sweet potatoes cut into small cubes, bananas, vegetable soup minus the liquid.
