Please help. I am a little concerned

I know yall aren't doctors, but I have a question. My 16 month old has had several issues that last few months. Ranging from kidneys, liver, anemia, and blood issues. Well two days ago he had a fever ranging from 101-102 and slept like all day and night. He was miserable for a few days and then the fever. He has had stool issues too for a few months. The last few days it has been like, poop soup, for lack of better words. This morning, it was BLACK soup with coffee ground looking stuff in it. Now I'm not a nurse or anything, but I am a pharmacy tech, and CNA, and what I do know is that isn't a good thing to have. I made him an appt this morning. What can be going on? Should I take the diaper in with us?

Yes because they can test it to see if it's blood. Black stool can mean its blood.

I didn't see that your appointment was this morning, sorry. Well I wish you good luck, and if it were me I would maybe go in a few minutes early to show and talk to the nurse about it. At my pedi if one case is more serious they make it a point to see that kid first.

Sounds like blood. Hope you get some answers soon.
