Absolutely I agree. I'm going through the same thing.

Isn't there a state one and a federal one? Maybe that's why I don't get ssi cause I get close to 900 a month? My friend gets 1200 a month and gets 400 per child. I worked all my life and I only get 15 dollars per child. I know it depends on how much you put into your soc sec account through your life through workIng. Like my dad gets 2400 a month. But he retired. But my friend gets so much more then me and she is the same age and we had the same career I don't get any of it.

I don't know about that. I know I get more than $900 a month and I make too much. Being retired is a different thing I believe. My therapist is over 65 and she gets SSI every month but she still works. I believe it's just different if you get SSI with being disabled, spouse passes away, parent passes away or retired.
