She claims to have anxiety, a learning disorder and a head injury from being in a car accident when she was young. She does not know diagnoses. At least didnt when asked a couple days ago

If you are disabled would SSI give you enough to raise a child? What would you do if they went to college? Not help them or what?

As far as I know the most someone can get for SSI is around $690 a month. Now SSDI is different. That is if someone was working for five out of the last ten years. Which I don't believe she has been

I have a friend who is disabled from a car accident when she was in high school. She was wheel chair bound for four years, still has tremors so bad she can't hold a cup of water, slurred speech, and can't stay awake for more than 4 hours at a time.

Her husband got snipped for her, because they both know she could never raise a child. It would be selfish.

I wish people thought more of the life the child is going to have before TTC.

I never TTC my daughter. I royally smurfed up her life I know this now. I have been on SSDI since October after being in a hospital for five and a half months. If I could I would not be on it. But things prevent me for not being able to work right now. I will eventually be able to get back into the work field though. I have my parents who are amazing that help me.
