Please help!

Help please! I am a mother of a 35 weeker who is currently in the nicu. I am so scared of him getting RSV or the flu. I had to go to the ER the other night and there were a bunch
Of sick kids so I left.. Now I am so paranoid that I got the flu
And may have exposed him to it before I had symptoms. I am with him everyday and spend a lot of time there to feed him.
Does anyone know if babies that young can make it if they get those sicknesses?
I am so upset!

Call a nurseline or your pediatrician and see what they say. I am not sure because when I was pregnant I got the flu shot plus my son, daughter and hubby and I all got ours before November of this year.

Wear a mask around him and just keep your hands washed well. That's all you can do. He's got the best care where he is. I'm sure it's scary, but just take precautions.

My cousins son got RSV right after he was born, it was rough but he was fine. He was 3 weeks early not 5 though, I would ask his doctor and if you feel yourself coming down with any of the symptoms just keep touching to a minimum.

I did 80 days in nicu...Trust me if there was a reason to worry you would know. The monitors and staff are their for a reason and you as a mom would just know. Pay attention but don't over worry!!!! Also, pay attention to who touches your baby and if they appear sick in any way don''t allow them to touch your baby. Should you have a problem talk to a nurse manager. They are always happy to help. And use that hand sanitizer (because really it's ALL you can do!!!!!!

the flu doesn't work like that, you aren't contagious until you're showing symptoms.
get the flu shot tho, but I think everyone should.
you'll be OK. 35 weeks is JUST barely early. Very little chance of RSV.
