Bragging rights :)

Soo, heres a place where all us mamas can brag about our labor. I love hearing other peoples labor stories and comparing them!!

So heres mine lol
Went into labor around 11 pm but didnt quite realize it was labor lol thought it was just back pain from my HUGE belly. About 3 hours later when it got worse and more often it hit me "IM IN LABOR!!" I decided to wait about 4-5 more hours to head to call the mid wife and head in. I got to the hospital at 8 cm got checked in and jumped into a hot shower. They kicked mo out of the shower when LO's heart rate got a bit high and ran me a warm bath in the jacuzzi tub. It somewhat helped but not much. wound up getting dehydrated and puking so they kicked me outta there and had me lay down and drink some liquids and break my water. I planned on having a water birth but it was a no go due to maconium in the fluid. After my water was broken thats when smurf got real lol. All i remember from there is trying to hum through the pain and squat to get DD to turn anterior ( or is posterior) so i can get out of back labor. No such luck. I remember saying I thought I could go natural but I changed my mind and didnt want to anymore lol (waay underestimated it) Got stuck at 8cm and got to the point where i HAD to push lol. They had to help force open the cervix while I pushed. The opening of the cervix was intense but after that pushing wasnt so bad. I was exhausted though. Id had about an hour and a half of sleep that night and went through 2 and a half hours of pushing. Her head would show then go back. We couldnt get her to come out. After about 3-4 15 second pushes (LONGEST 15 SECONDS EVER) we got her head to stay and eventually I was able to push her out. Then it was like...all better. The took her right out of me and onto my chest. It was amazing. We waited for her cord to quit pulsing so she could get all the good stuff in it and then we cut it.She was 12 hours of labor, 7lbs 1oz, 17 and 3/4in of absolute perfection. They offered me some morphine after for pain but once I had her I didnt need it. But then ( the stuff nobody warns you about in prenatal classes) I wound up with REALLY bad hemerrhoids for 3-4 months. OMG Id wish those on someone before id wish them death!! DD is now 5 months old and getting bigger and more amazing with everyday   Thats my story

Water broke at 10:53 pm and. Got to the hospital at 12 epidural at 3. And then i had 7.4 ounce baby girl at 8:53 am labor was so easy I might try for natural next time.

I was induced, no epidural & in labor for almost 2 days before needing a wonderful c-section   No seriously the c-section was my savior, I was ready to rip my IV out from how bad my contractions got from the pitocin. Oh then my daughter ended up in the NICU for a week. Then a week after my incision got infected & I had to stay in the hospital for 3 days..went home with a PICC line & needed antibiotics 3 times a day for 2 weeks. Then it took 3 months for my incision to close back up & in that time it had to be packed 2 times daily. Yep my story is oh so awesome.

Water broke at 1:45am, Got the hospital at 2:00am. Got into Triage around 2:30am Got checked and had a prolapsed cord, rushed into a crash c-section. Had to get the baby out asap. Got into the OR around give or take 3:00am, Had him at 3:30am. Then had me a beautiful 7pd 15 ounces of baby boy 20.5 inches long.

My water started to drip at the store but I wasn't sure what it was so I went home and made lasagna for my mom, dh, and I. While they were cooking I went o the restroom and got my big gush. I called my mom and asked or new sweatpants. She thought I peed myself. After that I kept a pad on till after the food was done and old everyone to eat fast cause my water broke at the grocery store. They were mad I didn't tell them but I wanted to eat first. That began around 6 pm. Got to l&d around 9 and was admitted right away. Hung out till about 2 am when I started really feeling my contractions. Got the epi. Slept until about 8 when the nurse woke me up to push. They stopped my epi so I could feel to push. He was out at 849 am. 8 lbs 13 ozs and 22 inches.

lol im opposite. im thinking epidural with my next ( if there ever is a next) lol it was pretty intense.

First contraction woke me up at 4:14am and I had inconsistent contractions (sometimes every 2 minutes, other times there was 7-8 minutes in between them) after that all day long until about 6:30pm when I was admitted into the hospital at 3cm. 9:00pm my water broke and I was at 4cm. Laid in a warm bath with my laughing gas tank until 9:35pm (feeling like I was going to smurf in the tub with every contraction.) When I told the nurse I needed to use the toilet, she decided to check my cervix again, because she was confident I didn't need to poop. I was at 9+cm!   Waited a couple more contractions until I was at 10 and started pushing at 9:45pm....10:01pm my LO was born

lol sounds like something i would do.

ive heard being induced makes labor 150x worse!! they offered because i was 41 1/2 weeks but i denied it.

Yeah I still get smurf for it but the nurse said it was smart of me to eat first so my mom kinda shut up after that.

lucky. seemed easy!! my labor ruined my desire to ever have more lol then only good memory i have from it is my baby girl. but everyone is different i actually have a friend who enjoyed her labor

my midwife was amazing. she actually got me a cheeseburger and a chocolate shake to keep my blood sugar up so i wasnt overly exhausted. no gunna lie i puked my butt off though lol

I always here about stuff like that and I feel so silly for ever blinking I had a bad labor. My friends say mine didn't even count. I'm sorry you didn't get a happy experience to look back on but at least you have the beautiful baby.

It was amazing! I wouldn't say I *enjoyed* labour -- but it definitely didn't scare me out of wanting another one. After LO was out, I heard one of the nurses say she hadn't seen anyone go from a 4 to 10 in 45 minutes before, and one of the first things out of my mouth after was, "I birth babies like a champ!" lol I'm very happy with my labour story

Yea, I had to because of medical problems....I also couldn't get an epi due to medical problems which sucked but oh well.
