Reading this has made me extremely grateful I live in Canada I left work exactly 1 month before my due date because I was put on bed rest. But if I had thought it in any way would take a significant amount of time from being with my baby I would have probably stuck it out and kept working.

Oh ok, that's good you mentioned it because they should know and hopefully be more understanding if you have to sit for a minute or if you call in because you're in so much pain. My job doesn't seem to care, people have been throwing up and my boss will make them stay...

Yeah talk to your doctor then and hopefully they can get you out, if not before Saturday then at least get a doctors note saying that you have been in pain and can't stand for long periods of time, then give it to your boss that day and let him/her know how much pain you've been in and how tired you get.

yea, that works. i mean i can understand probably the reason why im in pain because when i was 33 weeks he was already 6lbs and my boyfriend is guessing hes going to be 7 1/2 pounds.

You can call a free hotline to find out about how much maternity leave you are entitled to in your state: 1-800-839-4372. The hotline is run by a non-profit organization called Equal Rights Advocates.
