How do I?

posted 1st Jan
Do kick counts if my baby is more of a mover verses a kicker? Do I just count his movements? He rolls, and pokes his arms and legs out as far as he can go then I will poke at the spot he is doing it to and he will move around some more. He will kick here and there just moves more then he kicks.

Is there a reason you are doing kick counts? Just asking because I never did. DS moved all the time, there was no reason for me to do it lol. The only time I would do it is if you haven't felt LO move for awhile then I would do them.

Yes. Any movement can count. The point of kick counts is just to be sure the baby is still moving around in there... it always made me nervous like I should be making sure the baby is still alive or something

If baby is moving don't worry believe me first pregnancy with my now 10 month old I would go crazy cuz she didn't move much. But by the end dam did I feel more and more movement but she did go long periods without moving much and I would panic so much. Now that she is here and ten months I wish she would stop moving so much lol,,,she is super hyper.

I have to because of my last pregnancy I had a lot of complications and pre-term labor so they want me to do them once a day just as a pre-caution this time around.

My doctor made everyone do kick counts. I never had to give them to her or anything. They were just for me to make sure she was moving ok. DD moved so much I seldom did a formal kick count. I just made a mental note for half an hour or so until she got all the kicks in. Lol.
