Do you think it is like horrid parenting to put a streak of color in your child's hair?

nope. its just a streak.

no. i used to have my mom do that to me as a child. it was with kool aid but hey it worked.

I wouldn't care if it was the whole head.
It's just hair, and it's fun for kids and makes them happy.
Of course I wouldn't send them to school like that, since it's usually against the rules.

That isn't going to make you a bad parent.

No especially since you clarified that its the kind with no ammonia in it. Its a small streak that's going to was out its not like you're bleaching your kids hair like those god awful people on toddlers and tiaras.

Ya i really see nothing wrong with it. i mean if your child has short hair i don't see a problem in coloring the whole head because worse comes to worse you can just cut it shorter to get the color out. Also if it is no ammonia then i wouldn't see a problem with it either. I am a cosmetologist and if i want to color my childrens hair if they want it i will, kwim

How old is the kid? Now if you're bleaching your newborn's hair and dying it hot pink, that probably isn't the best thing to do. But an older child who wants it done, no big deal.

Our school system here doesn't allow students to have any color, other than natural, in their hair.
