Oh, the 38 hours is just to take care of her physical needs, like showering, cleaning, groceries, etc.
It's not my responsibility to know how to calm her down.

when going threw therapists it can take a while to find the right one.
i know you are stressed.. stressed is most likely a huge understatement. but i think what you are doing is amazing. most of the people would do it not even for a day. i feel for you and your sister both.

Does she qualify for an assisted living facility paid thru Medicaid or anything?

No I don't think so, it was hard to get her approved for even a home health aide type situation and I highly doubt she would agree to go to an assisted living facility

It would be like her living in her own apartment in a "complex" that has nurses on site and a common area. She can even get into a group home for people her age. Assisted living doesn't mean "nursing home". She just has someone come check on her to give her meds, take her shopping, ect.. Basically protect her from your mother.

then i would look into it. it will take some work but im pretty sure they cover that depending on the case, and from what you have been saying it sounds like they would but it takes some foot work. if you want to do that that is.

She has severe RA since she was 15, so it's gotten pretty bad.
She was on 30mg of vics a day, and 15mg of percs but since I've been coming over and taking care of her, her arthritis is almost in remission, she was getting injections from my mom, which I'm sure my mom had no idea what she was doing, and now I'm giving them to her and she's SOOO much better. She's down to just 4 vic 5mgs a day, and her dr is trying to totally but slowly wean her off them.
