Starting solids - Feeding schedule? Help!

posted 1st Jan
The twins are starting solids and I'm so confused as to how to set up a "feeding schedule". They had a nice schedule going on with their bottles. I HAVE to have a schedule since we have 4 little ones, it greatly decreases the stress around here. I'm not used to formula feeding and I'm not used to baby food feeding, so bare with me. (I BF before and did baby led weaning with my older 2) Their first bottle *they take 6 oz bottles* is at like 7 am, and their last bottle is at 8pm. How the heck do I fit 5 bottles and 2 baby food meals in there? Can anyone share their schedules? They each eat a jar of baby food for lunch and dinner each day.

Are you still gonna do blw with the twins?

Keep them on the same schedule. Then after one of their bottles u can do a meal. I'd start with one meal time a day to do solids. Maybe the meal lost of rhe family sits at together the most. Then as they get older start a second one. Idk how old they are now.

Just keep the same schedule, but before bottle, put them in bouncers and just do a little baby food in the morning and in the afternoon, then decrease their bottle by like two ounces.

Youre supposed to add solids to what they're already having in formula or bm. Not decrease their milk since the milk is their nutrition and solids is for fun.

Every time I've given my infants solids, they never wanted the same amount of formula they had prior to solids. I say that so she's not wasting formula making huge bottles if they might not eat it.

They will be 6 months old on January 10th. And we just started baby food a couple of weeks ago, a little early, especially because I didn't start my other kids until they were 10+ months, but the pediatrician suggested it since they are now 18 lbs each and still waking at LEAST 3 times EACH during the night to chug down bottles. I've been giving them a jar each at lunch and again at dinner, but one of them has starting spitting up constantly throughout the day and I think it's because I've been over-feeding them. I've been trying to fit 5 bottles and 2 meals between 7am and 8pm.

ETA: Since starting solids, they are now both sleeping through the night.

That's what I thought was the right answer, but I heard it's not. They're getting 30 ounces of formula a day, and I'm not sure how much they are "supposed" to get.
