Ok Ladies here is the update. I was like 30mins late for my appointment (long story) but it took about 5 minutes for the entire ordeal. It did not hurt at all. I felt a little sensation of it being pulled out but nothing that made me uncomfy or say ouch. I think the "painful" and not so comfy part was being pried open with whatever that tool is called. I havent had any bleeding or spotting yet but def cramps. I took some ibuprofen and now I am about to lay down until these cramp chill out. Thank you all so much for your feedback and advice I really appreciate it so hopefully we will have baby #3 when the coast is clear!

If you are ovulating with the IUD in place and once it is removed, you are fertile as with your next cycle. If you have copper IUD, your cycle is not affected. You may get pregnant soon. Just give your self a couple of month. Good luck! http://www.mirenalawsuit.us/

**UPDATE**

still haven't achieved a positive however my periods are not on a 28d cycle they are on a 30d cycle but they last about 4 days and are regular. I havent tracked ovulation or anything, just kinda going with the flow to see what happens. If we reach the 6 month mark of trying then I may consider actually tracking ovulation. Wish us lots of baby dust! <3 Hope you all are doing well!

I had mirena taking out and after one full cycle. I conceived my second child.

I had the marina taken out in July 2012 & it did hurt but that was only because the nurse couldn't find the strings.
Just before my af was due I had pregnancy symptoms done a hpt & it was negative, but af showed up heavy but it was 29 days from marina removal.
I had a regular 29 day cycle though & it took me 4 months to get pg but I ended up having a m/c at 9 weeks.

I am sorry to hear that. I keep reading about m/c but the trend seems like it is with women who had it for longer than 2 years. I know I am never getting it again.

Thanks, i'm just taking it a day at a time but i'm getting there slowly x

I had Marina in for about 3 1/2 years with no problems with it but i'd never get the marina in again after they had trouble taking it out last time.
When i'd had the m/c I asked the midwife if it could possibly be linked to the Marina & she said it's not but after reading online forums about women having the marina removal & a m/c after tbh i'm not convinced.

I really hope this isn't the case. I had mine for almost about four years and had it removed in June of 2012. We've been trying since September and haven't had any luck.

I hope it's not either. I know everyone is different but when i posted this and read other threads about it, it seemed like that happened to a lot of people who had it for extended periods of time. I wish I would have never gotten it because now I am really worried and hoping A) It doesn't take forever to conceive and B) once we do conceive that we don't have a M/C because I will be devastated. I can only take it one day at a time and not freak myself out too much but it is always nice to talk to people to see what their experiences were. My doctor said some women conceive right away and for the rest it's the usual "it may take up to one year" time frame. So we will see and hope for the best.

I asked my doctor about it when I had mine removed and he assured me you were not any more likely to have a m/c because of the IUD. He mentioned one out of four pregnancies end in a m/c anyway and most peoplr are looking for something to blame when it happens. Of course, we all know how often medical companies don't disclose everything, so who freaking knows. I've seen plenty of woman carry a healthy baby after mirena and others lose the baby. It's freaking terrifying though! I had mine for almost three years, so I'm just praying for the best.

This is true. I think more so when they say you can start trying immediately after, that it doesn't mean you will get pregnant immediately, but that you have the same chances of getting pregnant as when you did not have any birth control (6months to a year). I had a cyst form while using it but that was about it as far as "major" side effects. I didn't like that it made me super bitchy and kinda killed my sex drive (may be TMI) .
