re: Getting Mirena Removed Tomorrow!!

I mine in for nearly 3 years, when I had it removed they couldn't find the strings so it was painful to have removed... He dug around a little to much so a lot of pinching. I am a wuss and almost passed out afterwards cause I getting stuff like that done. Lol... But we started TTC right after I had it removed but sadly it took us 16 months to concieve this baby and I'm currently 31 weeks. Out of those 16 months I used 4 rounds of Clomid and concieved with the 4th round. Good luck to you, I hope things will be easier for you cause it frustrating! But I've heard a lot more good stories about conceiving than bad after Mirena.

i had mine taken out after 2 1/2 years of having it in. it took us 16 months with one miscarriage to get pregnant. good luck.

hm, I just got off my period like a day or two ago. My periods on mirena were funny some months i had one (it would be really short and light) and some i didnt at all. This past period from December was a ACTUAL week long regular period which i havent had in months! It's crazy I feel like my body is jacked up

That's how mine were when I was on it, and after it was taken out, then I got pregnant, now it's back being screwed up again.

I had mine in for 4 1/2 years. It was a piece of cake. No pain getting it removed but cramps followed almost immediately. I would recommend taking pain meds right before your appointment. You can ttc as soon as you like. My cycles started about 3 weeks after then normal ever since mind you I did not have a single cycle the whole 4 1/2 years that I had it. I had mine removed in August and started TTC in Sept and I'm already pregnant due in August lol. So it only took 2 months for us. Good luck!

We talked about having it removed when I got my yearly violation aka pap smear but put it off but now we are prepared so hopefully we have a good experience. I didnt really enjoy mirena but it does work i can say that minus a few other unsavory things but hey thats birth control !

Thank you! The second pregnancy seems to be flying by... Kind of a good thing but bad thing.

I got mine taken out August 14th. I had what I think was my period like 3 days later & then on September 8th I found out that I'm pregnant! lol We had SEX one time! My doctor said to wait a couple cycles, we had sex thinking no way it'll happen this fast, I am now a little over 20wks. Good luck!
